The Pembrokeshire SHARP project
is evaluating a healthy living approach as a way of addressing
health and wellbeing. It is exploring whether the healthy living
approach able to make a positive difference to the way that
services are run and decisions are made which affect a community’s
health – can communities be involved in identifying and
addressing issues affecting health and wellbeing?
The project is running in three Pembrokeshire communities. Click

| Areas of study include: |
- Supporting communities in the process of identifying
their health needs and priorities and planning ways of meeting
these needs
- Recording interventions and any perceived effect on people’s
quality of life
- Evaluating the healthy living approach as a tool to respond
to local needs
- Evaluating the healthy living approach from different
starting points of community involvement
- Measuring the use of resources involved
- Assessing the impact on those involved in the process

| Llanychaer
|

| Llanychaer - is a small rural village and spread out
farming community 3 miles inland from Fishguard at the
mouth of the Gwaun Valley. There is a village green, pub,
post office, chapel and church. Most housing is occupied
by local people. |
